Scoliosis

Scoliosis is a disorder where a person has a sideways curve of their spine. Curves are often S-shaped or C-shaped. In most people, there is no known cause for this curve.  Scoliosis is slightly more common amongst girls with Trisomy X.

I was diagnosed with this when I was 11 years old.  I wore a Boston Brace for a year and a half, however it did not help my curve.  In February of 2012 (at 13 years old), I had surgery to correct my scoliosis.  It was a life-changing surgery.
